Mark Schwarzer is an Australian international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Fulham. He plays as a goalkeeper and is considered as one of the best in the Premiership.
Mark Schwarzer started his professional club football career at the Australian national league side Marconi Stallions in 1990 when he was just 19 years of age. Remarkably he has worn the same pair of shinpads since then.
Mark Schwarzer then moved to Dynamo Dresden in 1994 after making 58 league appearances for Stallions. But he managed just 2 league appearances in 1994-1995 and moved to Kaiserslautern in Germany in 1995 but failed to establish himself again.
Mark Schwarzer moved to England and Bradford City in 1996 and after just 13 league matches signed for Middlesbrough in 1997.
Mark Schwarzer established himself at Boro and played for them until 2008, featuring in 367 Premier League matches. He also reached the final of the UEFA Cup with Middlesbrough in 2006.
