Pedro Miguel Cardoso Monteiro is a Portugal born Cape Verde international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion. He plays as a defender and is commonly known as Pedro Pele.

Pedro Pele started his club career at Imortal in 1997 and then moved to CD Feirense in 2002 and after one season was transferred to CF Os Belenenses.

Pedro Pele was signed by Southampton in thesummer of 2006 and played 37 league matches and scored one goal in the 2006-2007 season.

West Bromwich Albion signed Pedro Pele from Southampton in the summer of 2007 for 1 million pounds on a two year contract but Pele wasn’t a regular first choice defender at Fratton Park.

Pedro Pele accepted an invitation from Cape Verde to play for them at the 2008 African Nations’ Cup qualifiers.
