Valeri Emilov Bojinov is a Bulgarian international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Manchester City. He is a striker and is said to be one of the best of Bulgaria.
Valeri Bojinov was discovered by the Italian side Lecce when he was just 14 and was playing for Pieta Hotspurs and signed him for just around 15,000 euros.
Valeri Bojinov made his senior debut for Lecce in 2002 and played for them for two years, scoring 16 goals in 65 league matches. He was signed by Fiorentina in 2005 for 13 million euros and after scoring 8 goals in 36 league matches in the 2005-2006 season, he played for Juventus in the 2006-2007 season on loan and managed 5 goals in 18 league games.
In the summer of 2007 Manchester City signed Valeri Bojinov for 5.75 million pounds on a four year deal. However he missed the five months due to a knee logament injury that ruined virtually his entire season in 2007-2008.
Bojinov made his international debut for Bulgaria in 2004 and has scored 5 goals in 21 matches for his matches so far.
