Felipe Caicedo is a young Ecuadorian international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Manchester City. He is a versatile footballer who can play as a left sided midfielder or as a striker.
Felipe Caicedo signed for Swiss giants FC Basel in 2006 for an undisclosed fee when he was just 17 years of age. He was quite impressive in his two seasons at St. Jacob Stadium as he racked up 12 goals in 46 relatively successful league fixtures.
In January 2008 Manchester City signed Caicedo from Basel for 7 million euros on a four-and-a-half year deal. He went onto play 10 Premiership matches, all of them as a substitute but couldn’t score any goal.
