Brenden Aaronson is a soccer player playing for Leeds United. He is an attacking midfielder and US international.
He spent his youth career with Philadelphia Union, before a stint with Bethlehem Steel in 2017 and 2018 in the MLS Next Pro helped him get experience, returning to Union to play MLS from 2019 to 2020. He was named in the MLS Best XI in 2020 and helped Union win the Supporters’ Shield.
In October 2020 he signed a deal with Red Bull Salzburg to join the Austrian club in January in a move that was reportedly the highest transfer fee paid for an American homegrown player in the MLS.
