Aaron Mokoena is a South African international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers. He is a versatile player who can play either as a defender or as a defensive player.

Aaron Mokoena made his professional start at Dutch giants AFC Ajax Amsterdam although he had developed at the youth system of German side Bayer Leverkusen. He was signed by Belgian side Racing Genk in 2003 and in January 2005 was signed by Blackburn Rovers.

Mokoena quickly became a regular at Ewood Park after making his debut on January 8,2005 against Cardiff City in the FA Cup and is now a firm fixture at the club.

Aaron Mokoena made his international debut for South Africa in 1999 and has gone onto make 73 appearances for his nation, scoring 1 goal. He is currently the most capped player for the Bafanabafana and is also the current captain of the South African national side.
