Michael Richard Dawson is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. He plays as a defender.
Dawson made his professional debut for Nottingham Forest in 2000 an after a couple of seasons became a regular for them. He scored seven league goals in 84 league appearances in five years and was signed by Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2005.
Dawson set instantly into the first team at White Hart Lane and is a regular at the back for Spurs. He has played in over 200 Premier League matches for Tottenham and is one of the club’s oldest-serving players, winning the League Cup in 2008.
Dawson made his international debut for England against Hungary in a friendly match on August 11, 2010. He has played three more times since for the Three Lions.
