Lloyd Casius Kelly was born in Bristol, England, and has spent 12 years living in foster care since he was 6 years old. At the age of 12, his football talent was discovered by Bristol City after spotting him playing for Bristol Central. In 2015-16, he joined Bristol City and debuted in August 2017 in a match against Plymouth Argyle. By the following year, he won EFL Team of the Week and was heavily praised for his defense maturity and assistance in a game against Ipswich Town.
Career
Kelly signed a contract with AFC Bournemouth in May 2019 and debuted in the EFL Cup against Burton Albion in September. He also became a substitute player in a match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In 2021, he temporary cover Steve Cup as the team captain. He appeared in 14 games during this season, and Bournemouth was unbeaten. He later assumed responsibility for being captain after Steve Cook departed the team.
