Joseph Ikpo Yobo is a Nigerian football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Everton. He is a defender and is the vice-captain of Nigerian national football team and of Everton.
Joseph Yobo began his professional career at Belgian giants Standard Liege in 1998 and played for them for three seasons. In 2001 he joined French giants Olympique de Marseille but failed to settle at the Marseille Velodrome..
After spending the 2002-2003 season on loan to Everton , Yobo signed on a permanent contract with Everton in the summer of 2003. He has since developed to be a huge figure at Goodison Park and is a rock at the heart of defence. So far he has played in over 150 league matches for Everton.
