Andy van der Meyde is a Dutch international football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Everton. He plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger and is famous for his dribbling skills.

Andy van der Meyde commenced his footballing career at Ducth giants AFC Ajax Amsterdam. He developed through the club’s youth system and made his debut for the senior side in 1997. After some time he became a regular and was signed by Italian giants Inter Milan in 2003 for 4 million pounds.

Andy van der Meyde failed to play regularly at Inter Milan and after two seasons and just 32 Italian Serie A appearances he was offloaded to Everton for 2 million pounds.

Even at Everton Van der Meyde has failed to recapture his old and gold Ajax form.

Andy van der Meyde made his international debut for the Netherlands in May 2002 against the USA and played for his nation at Euro 2004. Since 2004 he has not played for the Dutch national side.
