John Thomas Gordon Ruddy is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Everton. He plays as a goalkeeper.

John Ruddy developed at the youth academy of Cambridge United. In his younger days, he tried at various positions and ultimately settled as a goalkeeper. Ruddy made his professional debut for Cambridge United in 2004 and after one season and 39 matches was signed by Everton in the summer of 2005.

Ruddy however has not been able to settle at Everton so far. He has been loaned out to Walsall, Rushden & Diamonds, Chester City, Stickport County, Wresxham, Bristol Rovers and Stockport County.
