Kai Havertz is a soccer player playing for Arsenal. He is a Germany international forward.
Club Record
Havertz was born in Aachen in Germany’s west, spending time in his youth with Alemannia Mariadorf, where his grandfather was the club chairman. In 2009 he joined local 2.Bundesliga club Alemannia Aachen, before being signed by Bayer Leverkusen in 2010.
Havertz debuted for Leverkusen in October 2016, becoming the club’s youngest ever Bundesliga player at the age of 17 years and 126 days. He quickly established himself as a first-choice player.

In 2018-19, Havertz scored 17 Bundesliga goals and 20 in all competitions from 42 appearances and was subsequently named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season. He also twice won the Bundesliga Player of the Month award.
In 2019-20, Havertz continued to excel as Leverkusen finished Bundesliga runners-up to Bayern and made the Europa League quarter-finals, earning him selection in the Squad of the Season.
In September 2020, Havertz signed a five-year deal with English Premier League powerhouse Chelsea with a reported 62 million pound initial transfer fee. Havertz scored the winning goal for Chelsea in the 2021 UEFA Champions League final as they edged Manchester City 1-0. He also scored the winner from the penalty spot as Chelsea beat Palmeiras to win the UEFA Super Cup.
Havertz, however, wasn’t prolific at Chelsea and the club let him sign with London rivals Arsenal on a five-year contract in June 2023 for a reported 65 million pounds.
International Record
Havertz played for Germany at youth level, including before part of their 2016 UEFA Under-17 Championship where they made the semi-finals and he was named in the Team of the Tournament.
Havertz made his senior international debut for Germany in September 2018 against Peru. He was part of Die Mannschaft’s squad at Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.
He was named in Germany’s squad at Euro 2024, played on home soil. He scored in Germany’s opening 5-1 win over Scotland, along with their Round of 16 triumph over Denmark.
