Diogo José Teixeira da Silva, known as Diogo Jota, is a soccer player for Liverpool. He is a Portuguese winger and forward.
Club Career
He came through at youth level with Pacos de Ferreira, making his senior debut in October 2014 and debuting in the Portuguese Primeira Liga in February 2015. He won a move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in March 2016 on a five-year deal.
He was loaned by Atletico back to his homeland to join FC Porto, where he played in the UEFA Champions League. He was loaned to English Championship club Wolverhampton in July 2017 where he was dominant with 17 goals in 44 league games. He made his stay at Wolves permanent by January 2018, before helping them earn promotion to the Premier League.

Jota spent three years with Wolves, before Liverpool swooped in September 2020 on a long-term deal. He has excelled at Anfield, helping them the FA Cup and EFL Cup and reach the UEFA Champions League final in 2022.
International Career
He made his Portugal debut in 2019, appearing at Euro 2020, but missing the 2022 World Cup due to a calf injury.
