He turned pro in 2012 and started playing for the Northampton Town senior team. He played with them from 2012 to 2015. He made a total of 53 appearances for the team.
In 2015, he signed to play with Newcastle United. At that time, he was loaned to a couple of teams including Barnsley and Shrewsbury Town. He was also loaned to Scunthorpe United and Wigan Athletic.
While loaned to Barnsley, he helped them win the Football League Trophy. He also helped Wigan win EFL League One. In 2018, he signed with Peterborough United and played with them through to 2020, making 76 appearances with the team.
