Rúben Diogo Da Silva Neves is a soccer player playing for Saudi club Al Hilal. He is a Portugal international midfielder.


Ruben Neves previously moved from FC Porto in his homeland to Wolverhampton under Portuguese manager Nuno Espirito Santo in the England in 2017, with the club originally in the Championship.

Neves established himself as a key player for Wolves, who gained promotion to the Premier League that season. He was named in that season’s EFL Championship Team of the Season for 2017-18 and the PFA Team of the Year for the 2017-18 Championship.

The midfielder played 253 games for Wolves, scoring 30 goals, as the club enjoyed a period of stability in the top flight.

After six years with Wolves, he was linked with Manchester United, but opted to become one of many high profile players to move to Saudi Arabia in mid-2023, joining giants Al Hilal for 47 million pounds.

International Career

Neves debuted for Portugal in 2015, having been part of the country’s UEFA European Under-21 Championship where they were runners-up in 2015. He was part of Portugal’s 2019 UEFA Nations League triumph and in their 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
