Christian Wilhelmsson is a Swedish international footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Deportivo la Coruna. He is a winger and is actually on loan from French side FC Nantes.
Christian Wilhelmsson started out wth Mjallby AIF in 1997 and in 2000 was signed by Norweigian side Stabaek and three seasons later was signed by Belgian giants Anderlecht. He was also at the Belgian club for three seasons and was very much impressive during this tenure.
In the summer of 2006 he was signed by French club FC Nantes but he sent on loan to Italian side AS Roma in 2007 and then played for Bolton Wanderers in the English Premiership for the first half of the 2007-2008 season. He failed to perform in England and was sent on loan to Deportivo la Coruna in January and quickly became a first teamer.
Christian Wilhelmsson is an established Swedish international and has played for his nation at Euro 2004 and the 2006 Germany World Cup. He has played 50 international matches for Sweden.
