Antonio Barragan Fernandez is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish football club Valencia. He plays as a right-back.
Barragan graduated from the Sevilla FC youth academy but before he had even appeared for the senior side, he was signed by Premier League giants Liverpool in July 2005 when he just 18 years of age. He was largely confined to the Liverpool reserves in his first and only season at Anfield and played a single league game in the 2005-2006 season,
But young Antonio Barragan did create history in his short stay at Liverpool when he came on as a substitute for fellow Spaniard Fernando Morientes in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, thereby becoming the youngest ever foreigner to play for the Merseyside club.

Barragan was signed by Deportivo la Coruna in the summer of 2006 on a five-year contract. He had to undergo an operation which cost Depor 1 million euro and played for them for three years until 2009 during which he made just 26 league appearances and scored two goals.
In 2009 Barragan joined Real Valladolid and revived himself at the modest Spanish club. HIs performances in the following two seasons saw him earn 40 league appearances and a move to Valencia in 2011 where he is usually a substitute.
Barragan has played for Spain at the Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 levels.
