Joseba Andoni Etxeberria Lizardi is a Spanish footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Athletic Bilbao. He is a winger and is also the club captain. He is known as El Gallo(The Rooster) and is very much a club icon.
Joseba Etxeberria started his club career for Real Sociedad in 1994 but after one season was signed by Athletic Bilbao. He has since made over 400 league appearances.
Etxeberria made his international debut for Spain in 1997 and played in the 1998 World Cup, Euro 2000 and Euro 2004. He has played 53 matches for his nation and has scored 12 goals.
