Having scored 54 goals in 103 league appearances for Santos in four years, Neymar moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2013 for a transfer fee of €57 million, having been courted by the Catalan giants for well over two years.

Neymar has already established himself as a key player for the Brazil national team. The 21-year-old made his debut for his country on August 10, 2010 when he was just 18 years of age against the USA. He scored on his debut after just 28 minutes.

Neymar was the star of his team for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup as he led them to the title. He was also part of Brazil’s Olympic team that reached the final in London 2012.

In 2017, he left Barca for Paris Saint Germain in a move worth €222 million, which was the most expensive transfer ever. He’s since won three Ligue 1 titles, helped the side reach the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League Final and been named Ligue 1 Player of the Year.

In August 2023, he left PSG for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, joining a wave of top players to head to the big-spending Arabic league.
