John Stones is a teenage football player who currently features for the Premier League club Everton. He plays as a defender and is said to be a promising young player.

Stones developed at the youth academy at Barnsley and was on their books from 2001 until 2011. Thereafter, he was drafted into the first team and featured for them between 2011 and 2013.

He signed a professional contract in December 2011 and made his Championship debut on March 17, 2012 against Reading in a game that they lost 4-0.

In January 2013 after making 24 league appearances for Barnsley, Stones signed a five-and-a-half year contract with Everton for a transfer fee of £3 million.

Stones has yet to make his debut for the England national team but has played for the Under-19 side three times so far.
