Papiss Demba Cisse is a Senegal international football player who currently features for the Premier League club Newcastle United. He plays as a striker and is rated as one of the best in the English top flight.
Cisse commenced his professional club football career at Douanes Dakar in 2003 and after one season moved to Metz. He was a success at the French club, scoring 36 goals in 95 league appearances while also earning valuable first-team experience while on loan at Cherbourg and Chateauroux in 2005-06 and 2008-09 respectively.
Freiburg came calling and signed him from Metz in January 2010 and he continued his impressive form for the German club, scoring 37 goals in 65 league appearances. His display caught the eye of Newcastle, who swooped in with a £9 million offer to land him on a five-and-a-half year contract in January 2012.Cisse quickly made a name for himself in the premier League and became a regular in Alan Pardew’s side.

Cisse made his international debut for Senegal in a friendly international against Congo DR away from home on August 12, 2009. He has scored 11 goals in 22 international matches for his country so far.
