A professional football player from France, Gregory Lorenzi was born on the island of Corsica and plays as a defender. Lorenzi was a part of the youth academy at, local giants, SC Bastia until 1998, when he was picked up by FC Nantes. For 5 seasons, Lorenzi played for the youth academy at Nantes but failed to impress the coaching staff and get a place in the senior team.

He moved to RE Mouscron in 2003 and played with them for two seasons, notching up 47 appearances and scoring 2 goals in the process. He returned to his home town in 2005, signing with SC Bastia and became a regular member of their side as well. He played 76 times for the club, scoring 5 times and moved onto Stade Brestois in 2008. After, initially, struggling to find a regular playing spot on the team, Lorenzi went on a loan move back to SC Bastia, in 2010, and returned with new vigour.

He had 19 games during his first loan spell before starting 2011, and in 2011, started again with a loan spell to AC Arles-Avignon where he played 12 games. Lorenzi plays quite regularly for the Stade Brestois reserve team at the moment, although he has made about 40-odd appearances for the first team, scoring four goals as well.
