Mohammed Abu is a Ghanaian international football player who currently features for the Spanish club Rayo Vallecano on loan from English and European giants Manchester City. He plays as a midfielder.

Abu commenced his youth football with Sporting Club Accra and signed for City on AUgust 31, 2010. He was immediately loaned out to Norwegian club Stromsgodset. He scored one goal in 35 league appearances.

Abu played on loan for German club Eintracht Frankfurt and Stromsgodset again in 2012, before joining Rayo on loan for the 2012-13 season in August 2012.

Abu made his international debut for Ghana in October 2011 against Nigeria in a game that finished in a goalless draw. He featured for his country at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
