A professional football player from Brazil, Claudinei Cardoso Felix Silva, also known as Nei, plays as a defender in the right-back position. Nei began his playing career at the Palmeiras youth academy but despite playing for the youth team for two seasons, he wasn’t considered good enough for the first team. Nei ended up making his professional debut with Bragantino in the lower divisions.

In 2002, after spending three seasons at Bragantino, Nei moved to Ponte Preta where he moved to the right-back position. In this new places, he found a brand new lease of life, and that got Corinthians interested in his game. From 2005 to 2006, Nei began making his mark on the club but towards the end of 2006, moved back to Ponte Preta until the end of the year.

In 2007, Nei found his way into Clube Atletico Mineiro and over the next three seasons, became indispensible to the team. He helped the side win the 2009 Campeonato Paranaense title and his performances buoyed the interest at Internacional, who decided to bring Nei in for the 2010 season.

In his very first season, Nei won the Copa Libertadores with Internacional before winning two consecutive Campeonato Gaucho titles in 2011 & 2012 and also winning the 2011 Recopa Sudamericana title. He has played over 130 league games for Internacional, since joining the team in 2010.
