Jose Rodolfo Pires Ribeiro is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a defender. A highly rated young star in the Corinthians’ youth academy, Dodo broke into the limelight in 2007, still with the youth team. In 2008, he broke in the Brazilian Under-17 national team where he was spotted, later, by Manchester United. In 2009, Dodo broke into the first team at Corinthians and also helped Brazil win the South American Under-17 title that year.

At the senior level, however, Dodo was unable to stay on pace with the game and the Manchester United news died down as Dodo was restricted to just 18 games over two seasons. In 2011, he moved to Esporte Clube Bahia on loan, hoping to get a more regular starting place in the team and, therefore, a better chance to playing in Europe some day.
