A professional football player from Brazil, Jones Lopes da Silva plays as a midfielder. Having begun his playing career at the youth team at Bonsucesso, it was natural that Jones would get a break in the first team at the side. In 2007, this dream came through and Jones was now a professional player. However, his attacking ability and vision weren’t getting him a place in the first team and he went out on loan.
His first loan move was out to Noroeste, in 2009, but here too Jones found it hard to break into the first team. After not getting much playing time over three seasons, Jones moved out to Deportivo Maldonado, in 2010. In 2010 itself, Jones moved around four times, on loan. The first was to America Futebol Clube where he played 15 games and scored three goals.
Buoyed by this performance, he moved to Cruzeiro on another loan spell but this time, things weren’t as pleasant. Just one game later, he was on his way to Esporte Clube Goais where he appeared seven times.
Finally, in 2011, he moved to Esporte Clube Bahia where his first team struggles continue.
