Rodrigo ‘Mikey’ Taddei is a Brazilian footballer who currently features for the Italian giants AS Roma. He plays as a striker and although he holds both Brazilian and Italian passports, he has been capped by neither nations so far.
Rodrigo Taddei started his career at Brazilian side Palmeiras in 2000 and two years later he moved to Italy to play for minnows Siena who player Italian Serie B at the time.
In late 2003 Taddei was involved in a horrific car accident which tragically cost the life of his younger brother Leonardo and seriously hurt his Siena teammate Pinga. However Taddei returned soon and helped Siena stave off relegation from the Italian Serie A.
AS Roma signed Taddei in the summer of 2005. Taddei has since developed into one of the most consistent and lethal strikers in Italian football and is one of the first names on Roma’s teamsheet ahead of every match.
