Blaise Matuidi is a French football player who currently features for French giants Paris Saint-Germain. He plays as a defensive midfielder.
Matuidi commenced his professional club football career at French club Troyes in 2004 and played for them for three years, scoring four goals in 67 league appearances.
Matuidi signed for Saint-Etienne in 2007 and played for them until 2011, turning out in 132 league games and establishing himself as one of the better midfielders in the country.
In the summer of 2011 Paris Saint-Germain signed Matuidi from Saint-Etienne on a reported €7.5 million as a replacement for Claude Makelele, who retired from football.
Matuidi made his international debut for France in September 2010 against Bosnia and Herzegovina in their 2-0 victory.
