Salvatore Sirigu is an Italian football player who currently features for French giants Paris Saint-Germain. He plays as a goalkeeper and is rated one of the best in Europe in his position.

Sirigu commenced his professional football career with Sicilian club Palermo in 2006 and was on their books until 2011, making 69 appearances. He also turned out on loan for Cremonese and Ancona in the 2007-08 and the 2008-09 seasons respectively.

Sirigu continued to earn a name for himself in Italy as one of the best young goalkeepers despite often being the second choice at Palermo, and was snapped up by Paris Saint-Germain.

He signed on a four-year contract with PSG with Palermo being paid €3.5 million as transfer fee. Sirigu is now an established first choice regular between the posts for PSG.

Sirigu made his international debut for Italy against the Ivory Coast on August 10, 2010 in a game that they lost 1-0. He was also part of the Italy team that reached the final of the Euro 2012 finals.
