Djamel Mesbah is an Algeria international football player who currently features for the Italian and European giants AC Milan. He plays as a left-back and left wingback.

Mesbah commenced his professional club football career at Servette in 2003 and moved to Basel in 2004. After a loan time at Lorient, he joined Aarau in 2006.

After playing for Luzern in 2008-09, he moved to Italian club Lecce and established himself as one of the better players in Italy in the following three years. He scored six goals in 82 league matches and in January 2012 he was signed by Milan on a four-and-a-half-year contract.

Mesbah made his international debut for Algeria against the Republic of Ireland on May 28, 2010 in a friendly international and was part of his country’s team that played at the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.
