Urby Emanuelson is a Netherlands international football player who currently features for the Italian and European giants AC Milan. He is a versatile player who can play as a left-back, left-winger and midfielder.

Emanuelson developed at the youth academy of Dutch giants Ajax and was part of the first team between 2004 and 2011. He made his debut for the Amsterdam club on April 10, 2005 in a 4-2 home win against AZ.

Emanuelson failed to win the Dutch Eredivisie title at Ajax, but he won the KNVB Cup thrice and the Johan Cruijff-schaal as many times.

In January 2011 Milan signed Emanuelson from Ajax for €1.7 million on a three-and-a-half-year contract. He won Serie A in 2010-11 and has since been part of the first team.

Emanuelson made his international debut for the Netherlands against the Republic of Ireland on August 16, 2006 and has now made more than 15 appearances for his nation.
