Tolgay Ali Arslan is a German-Turkish professional football player playing for the team of Hamburger SV. The teams that he has played for so far include Borussia Dortmund, Hamburger SV, Alemannia Aachen and Turkey U19 and U21 team.

At the age of four, Tolgay started playing football, when his father brought him along to watch a game of football. Arslan began his football career with the local club. He earned a move to Borussia Dortmund in 2003 after patterning his game around Gheorghe Hagi and Zinedine Zidane. After many years playing for the Dortmund’s youth team, Arslan moved to the team of Hamburger SV.

Tolgay moved to the team of Hamburger SV on a free transfer in 2009 and made his debut on 23rd September 2009. He came in the 70th minute as a substitute for Marcus Berg, in the second round of the DFB Cup against Osnabruck team. Though the team made a 3-3 draw, they lost by 5-7 post a penalty shootout. Arslan made his league debut on 17th October 2009 in a 0-0 draw match held against Bayer Leverkusen.

Later on, he moved to Alemannia Aachen on loan basis for 2010-11 season, scoring his first goal for the club in the fifth week of the 2. Bundesliga match in a 3-1 victory against the team of FSV Frankfurt.

Tolgay began his career with the Turkey youth teams in 2009, making 2 appearances for the U19 team in 2009. His first appearance for the Turkey national U21 football team was against the Republic of Ireland, which was held on 7th September 2010.
