Martín Andrés Silva LeitesMartín Andrés Silva Leites> is a Uruguayan football player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Uruguay national football team. He also plays for Defensor Sporting, the Primera Division Uruguayan side team.

Born in 1983 in Montevideo, Uruguay Martin has played his entire professional football career in Defensor Sporting since 2002. In 2010, during one match with Defensor in Argentina, Martin played as a goalkeeper for the Copa Sudamericana. He was however attacked with a rock thrown by an independiente fan, injuring his head. Irrespective of this fact, the match continued and the Defensor got eliminated.

Martin won his international debut for Uruguay in a friendly match played against Algeria in 2009. He was drafted many times by Oscar Tabarez. He was also included in the start line up of players for the match. Moreover, he was also the third choice goalkeeper selected to play in the FIFA World Cup in 2010.

Whilst with Defensor Sporting since 2002, Martin made 148 appearances and for Uruguay U-20, he made 14 appearances from 2001 to 2003. Since 2009, he is playing for Uruguay team, and has made one appearance.
