David Rivas Rodríguez is a Spanish footballer who currently plays for the Spanish club Real Betis. Rivas has been a Betis all his life and plays as a central defender.
David Rivas made his debut for Real Betis in 1999 after graduating with flying colours from the famous youth academy at Betis. He quickly settled into the starting line-up and has featured in over 200 matches for Betis since his debut.
Rivas is renowned for his no-nonsense defending and is also very strong in the air. His contract with Betis ends in the summer of 2010 but it is most likely that he would like to continue to play for the Andalucians giants for the rest of his playing career.
