Michel Vorm> is a Dutch football goalkeeper who presently plays for FC Utrecht team and also for the Netherlands national football team. He has even played for some period for FC Den Bosch on loan. At a height of six feet, Michel was a member of the Netherlands squad which won the UEFA under 21 Championship in Portugal in 2006. As of 2008, he is a member of the Dutch national football team.
It was in 2009 when he made his debut in the starting lineup in a friendly home match against Japan team which was followed by an impressive performance at Hampden Park during the World Cup qualifier Scotland, a competition which the team won by 0-1. This match was the first competitive match for Michel played outside the Netherlands.
Michel was selected in the preliminary squad team for the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa. Prior to the match, he was allowed to fly back to his hometown as during the World Cup, his girlfriend Daisy delivered a baby, Jaivy Waylon.
From 2005, Michel is playing for FC Utrecht team and has made around 83 appearances. From 2005, he is playing for FC Den Bosch team on loan basis, till 2006, during which period he made 35 appearances. For one season, 2005-06 he played for Netherlands under 21. Since 2008, he is playing for the national team and has made 5 appearances.
