Vladimir Stojkovic’ is a Serbian football player playing as a goalkeeper for the Serbian national football team as well as for the FK Partizan team for which he is playing on loan basis. A member of Sporting CP, this goalkeeper is a first choice goalkeeper for the Serbia national football team since 2006.
Vladimir was a back up goalkeeper in the Serbia-Montenegro squad to Nikola Milojevic. The squad had reached the finals of the UEFA European under 21 football championships in 2004 in Germany. He got more opportunities and became an unique member of the national youth squad.
It was in 2006, he captained for the under 21 team during the U-21 Euro in 2006 in Portugal replacing Danko Lazovic. This team managed to reach the semi finals of the match. Though uncapped, Vladimir was named as member of the senior squad for the FIFA World Cup in 2006. He served as a backup to Dragoslav Jevric. With Javier Clemente as head coach in 2006, Vladimir was the first choice for Serbia team. On 16 August 2006, he made his debut against the Czech Republic team.

During the qualifying campaign of the Euro 2008, he played well for the team and was also named on the Olympic team for Beijing 2008. He went ahead to play in the qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup in 2010 against Germany. In 2010 FIFA World cup, he kept a clean sheet by denying penalty kick of Lukas Podolsk and helped defeat the opponent team by 1-0.
