Arsenal will entertain West Ham United on Wednesday, January 23 at 1945 GMT. The game will be played at the Emirates. A win and the subsequent three points in this game is very important for Arsenal to stay touch with those above them in the English Premier League.

Arsenal is currently placed sixth in the table equal on points with Liverpool. The Gunners are four points behind fifth-placed Everton and seven points behind Tottenham Hotspur who are in fourth. A win will not lift them in the table but create a three point difference between Liverpool and them.

Arsenal is in shoddy form and has taken just one point from their last three matches. They lost to Chelsea and Manchester City after a draw against Southampton. They desperately need three points from this game.

Theo Walcott will be the man that holds the key to Arsenals success as he is in probably the best goal scoring form of his entire career.

West Ham United is 12th in the standings and win for would propel them in to the top half of the table into 10th spot.

In their previous game West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw by Queens Park Rangers. Joe Cole has been in good from since joining them earlier in the month from Liverpool. Kevin Nolan and Mark Noble will hold the key for the Hammers in midfield.

Francis Coquelin, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lukas Podolski, Tomas Rosick and Mikel Arteta are all set to miss the match due to injury which will give Arsene Wenger a selection small headache.

James Collins, George McCartney and Andy Carroll are all expected to miss the game of the Hammers.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-2 West Ham United
