Raul Desperate For Euro 2008 Finals

The Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland this summer is drawing closer and closer and there is one player in Spain who is getting desperate as time for the moment of truth draws near.

Real Madrid legend Raul has been out of the Spanish national squad since September 2006 and national team coach Luis Aragones has made it all but clear that the 30-year old striker wouldn’t be taken to the finals. Raul was left out of the provisional 31-man squad that required innoculations for the tournament.

But Raul is desperate to travel with the Spanish national team to Austria and Switzerland and is ready to do absolutely anything!

He says:

“I would go to the European Championships even if it means carrying the water for the team.”

To be honest, Raul deserves to be part of the Spanish national team that shall once again be one of the favourites for the championship this summer. He might not find himself playing in the starting xi but he is certainly one player who deserves to be part of the unit.
