Maxwell has lost his place to the 18-year old whiz kid Davide Santon and there were reports in the Italian media last week that suggesting that the player would join Milan in the summer. Even the player’s agent seemed to give the green signal to the move.

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has now confirmed that they would strat negotiations with their great city rivals Inter in the summer of 2009. He is quoted by Sky.it as saying:

“Maxwell is a player Milan like a lot, I think we will talk about it in a while. He is one of the best wing players around.”

Maxwell is one of the three best left backs in the world at the moment and it must indeed be frustrating for him at the moment to warm the bench at Inter.
