A report in the German paper Sportbild states that Schalke 04 would have no choice but to sell their top striker Kevin Kuranyi should the interested club draft in an offer of a staggering 35 or more million euros!
It has emerged that the German international striker has a clause in his current contract at Schalke which would enable him to leave it should his new club pay his 35 million euro buy-out clause.
Kuranyi himself admitted the clause to Sportsbild and said:
“It’s true. At the moment, being successful is all that counts. I want to help Schalke qualify for the Champions league. I feel good at Schalke and find it difficult to imagine me leaving.
Kuranyi was signed by Schalke from VFB Stuttgart in 2005 for just 7 million euros and has progressed into one of the best strikers in the German Bundesliga. He is likely to move onto a bigger club outside his native Germany when he does decide to move on.
