Jack Grealish has avoided serious injury in a boost for Manchester City who initially feared his groin injury could rule him out for weeks.
The England international limped off in the 21st minute during last week’s 3-1 UEFA Champions League win away to FC Copenhagen.
Grealish also missed City’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea on the weekend amid concerns of a long layoff.
But City boss Pep Guardiola revealed the positive news following medical tests.
“It’s not that much, not as bad as we expected,” Guardiola said.
“It will be maybe 10 days. It was three weeks or a month but it is less so it is good news.”
Grealish has slipped down the pecking order but will be a crucial player for City’s depth in their run home, chasing the Premier League and Champions League titles.
The 28-year-old has made 14 league appearances this term, half off the bench, while he’s made seven starts in European competition.
Grealish’s availability will help City during a busy period in March where they have crucial league clashes with Manchester United, Liverpool, Brighton and Arsenal.
City are third in the Premier League on 53 points with a game in hand on the top two, led by Liverpool on 57 and Arsenal on 55.
