City will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Brighton at the Etihad Stadium in the league.
Pep Guardiola’s side will head into the game against the Seagulls on the back of a 3-0 victory over Birmingham City at the Etihad Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup.
City are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 15 matches, seven points behind leaders and city rivals Manchester United, who have played 17 games.
Meanwhile, Brighton currently find themselves 17th in the league table with 14 points from 17 games, three points above third-from-bottom Fulham, who have played 15 matches.
The Seagulls will head into the match against City on the back of a win against Newport County (on penalties) away from home in the third round of the FA Cup.
Former United and Liverpool striker Owen believes that City will get the better of Brighton 3-0 at home in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
Owen said: “Manchester City are back challenging on all fronts. They’ve ominously gained ground in the Premier League and are now favourites for the title. Its’ some turnaround after such a sluggish start to their season.
“Brighton have the potential to cause most sides problems, however, they have proven to be toothless in front of goal all season and I fear that could cost them dearly in the end.
“To me, this looks like a straightforward win for City as they ramp up their pursuit of another Premier League title.”
