Rangers have maintained their strong start to the 2020-21 Scottish Premiership campaign with a comfortable 3-0 victory over St. Johnstone at Ibrox on Wednesday evening.
Steven Gerrard’s side kicked off the new season with a narrow 1-0 victory over Aberdeen away from home before getting the better of St. Mirren at Ibrox this past Sunday.
On Wednesday evening, the Gers scored three more goals without conceding any to get past St. Johnstone at home and have now made it three wins out of three in the league so far this season.
Borna Barisic put Rangers in the lead after 21 minutes when the Croatia international left-back curled home a free kick from 18 yards after David Wotherspoon had tripped Alfredo Morelos.
Ryan Kent doubled the home team’s advantage in the second minute of first-half injury time when he turned in Barisic’s low cross.
Rangers wrapped up the three points just four minutes into the second half when Joe Aribo home from a corner.
The result means that Rangers are now at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with nine points from three matches, level on points with second-placed Hibernian and two points ahead of third-placed Ross County.
