There is no reason for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho to leave the Bundesliga now.

The Irish Independent has reported that the forward may not get the move back to England he craves as the German side are happy to wait on buyers.

Different Times

COVID-19 has dropped the floor out of the transfer market, and values are going down worse than a fart in a lift. Buying sides no longer have the coin to make massive offers as everyone has been impacted by the loss of match day revenue.

However, Borussia Dortmund are under no pressure to sell. Jadon Sancho should be in no pressure to leave.

In reality, what benefit will be gain from departing BVB and arriving at Manchester United - who have been linked with a move for Sancho.

No Need

Dortmund play in a fantastic stadium, in a league that’s among the best supported in the world, and they are competing for Champions League glory.

They are a vibrant side who play with flair and attacking intent, and Sancho is lauded as one of the best players in the squad. He’s also featuring regularly and is in amazing form.

Manchester United can’t offer anything different. Old Trafford is a big stadium, but it could do with a fresh lick of paint, and the team aren’t in a great way either.

No Glory

They’re not going for the Premier League title, they haven’t got much of a hope in the Champions League - and might not even qualify for it this season. The only thing he’d be moving for is money, and whatever faded prestige United are still clinging to.

However, Sancho is in an odd position. As one of the most highly rated youngsters in the world, he’s only got a few options who can afford him. Man Utd look like the pack-leaders in the chase for his signature, but he’s far better off waiting at Dortmund for a better offer to come in.
