Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Chelsea on Monday evening.

The Red Devils got the better of Chelsea 2-0 away from home at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League.

Anthony Martial put United in the lead on the stroke of half time when he glanced in Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s cross.

Harry Maguire doubled the advantage for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side midway through the second half when he headed in Fernandes’s corner.

Fernandes, who joined United from Sporting Lisbon for an initial transfer fee of 46.5 million pounds, has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for the Red Devils.


Over the course of the 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening, hosts Chelsea had 61% of the possession, took 17 shots of which one was on target, and earned nine corners.

Visitors United had 39% of the possession, took nine shots of which three were on target, and earned eight corners.

Top-Four Challenge

The win against Chelsea means that United are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 38 points from 26 matches.

The Red Devils are just three points behind the fourth-placed Blues and are in the running for a Champions League place.

United will return to action on Thursday evening when they take on Club Bruges away from home in Belgium in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 32.
