Nottingham Forest right-back Matty Cash has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Leeds United at home.

Forest got the better of Leeds 2-0 at the City Ground in the Championship on Saturday evening.

Sammy Ameobi put the Reds in the lead in the 31st minute when he found the net with an effort that Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla failed to keep out at his near post.

Then in the fourth minute of injury time, Tyler Walker found the net from close range after being teed up by Joe Lolley.

Cash, who can also operate as a midfielder, has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for Forest, and he has also expressed his admiration of the atmosphere created by the fans at the City Ground.


Over the course of the 90 minutes at the City Ground on Saturday evening, hosts Forest had 30% of the possession, took 14 shots of which six were on target, and earned three corners.

Visitors Leeds had 70% of the possession, took 13 shots of which one was on target, and earned eight corners.

League table

The win against Leeds means that Forest are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 54 points from 31 matches, just a point behind Leeds and Fulham, who are second and third respectively in the standings.
