Tottenham Hotspur youngster Ryan Sessegnon has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Southampton in the FA Cup on Wednesday evening.
Sessegnon, who can operate as a left-winger or as a left-winger, is pleased with Tottenham’s 3-2 victory over Premier League rivals Southampton at home in the fourth-round replay.
An own goal from Jack Stephens saw Spurs go 1-0 up after 12 minutes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Shane Long restored parity in the 34th minute.
Sessegnon is pleased with the win which means that Tottenham have progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup, and the 19-year-old also hopes that James Ward-Prowse, who had to go off in the first half due to injury, recovers soon.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday evening, hosts Tottenham had 43% of the possession, took nine shots of which three were on target, and earned six corners.
Visitors Southampton had 57% of the possession, took 15 shots of which seven were on target, and earned five corners.
Spurs will face Premier League rivals Norwich City in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
