Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jack Grealish has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Watford on Tuesday evening.

Villa got the better of Watford 2-1 at Villa Park in the Premier League to return to winning ways.

Comeback Victory

The Hornets took the lead through Troy Deeney in the 38th minute when the striker headed home Gerard Deulofeu’s cross from the right from just five yards out.

Dean Smith’s side restored parity midway through the second half when Douglas Luiz hammered the ball home after Ben Foster had parried Matt Targett’s effort.

Villa found the net again in the fifth minute of injury time when Ezri Konsa’s shot deflected in off his Villa teammate Tyrone Mings.


Grealish, who can also operate as a winger, has revelled on Twitter in the win for Villa against Watford.


Over the course of the 90 minutes at Villa Park on Tuesday evening, hosts Villa had 65% of the possession, took 16 shots of which five were on target, and earned six corners.

Visitors Watford had 35% of the possession, took eight shots of which two were on target, and earned three corners.

Back in Action

The against Watford means that Villa are now 16th in the Premier League table with 25 points from 24 matches, two points above the relegation zone.

The Villans will return to action next Tuesday evening when they take on Leicester City at home in the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-finals.

The first leg of the tie at the King Power Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw.
