Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s failure to win against Standard Liege on Thursday evening.

The Gunners played out a 2-2 draw with Liege away from home in Belgium in Europa League Group F.

After a goalless first half, the home team took the lead in the 47th minute through Samuel Bastien, and Selim Amallah doubled the advantage on 69 minutes.

Freddie Ljungberg’s side halved the deficit in the 78th minute when Alexandre Lacazette found the net with a header, and the Premier League club then made it 2-2 through a curling finish from Bukayo Saka.

The result means that the North London outfit have finished top of Group F with 11 points from six matches, two points clear of runners-up Eintracht Frankfurt, and have progressed to the knockout rounds of the Europa League.

Arsenal goalkeeper Martinez is delighted to have booked a place in the round of 32 as group winners.
