Aston Villa star Jack Grealish has taken to Twitter to express his delight at his side’s draw with Manchester United at the weekend.
Villa played out a 2-2 draw with United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Grealish, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, put the Villans in the lead as early as the 11th minute with a brilliant goal.
An own goal from Tom Heaton saw the Red Devils equalise in the 42nd minute, and Victor Lindelof put Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side ahead on 64 minutes.
Just two minutes, Tyrone Mings made it 2-2, and it stayed that way until the final whistle.
Grealish has taken to Twitter to revel in the draw and is pleased to have scored for Villa against United.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Old Trafford on Sunday evening, hosts United had 62% of the possession, took 16 shots of which six were on target, and earned nine corners.
Visitors Villa had 38% of the possession, took nine shots of which three were on target, and earned nine corners.
Back in action
The result means that Dean Smith’s side are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 15 points from 14 matches, just three points above the relegation zone.
Villa will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
